"10 pages" is a particular survey, done by the Cultural Centre "Simona Romagnoli" in the planning of the Victoria Theatre in Ostra, who wants to propose some of the most important literary works of contemporary beginning of their first 10 pages. We will be invited to participate in the events of the characters experiencing the tastes, smells and emotions that they themselves have lived. The first appointment is with "If This Is a Man" by Primo Levi written between December 1945 and to January 1947, after his return from the concentration camp of Auschwitz. A simple testimony, dry writing, no questions asked, full of ideas but unable to ask constantly for the reader. Right here is its expressive power, and integrates current despite so many years after its publication: in his report to us as a book impossible, impossible to write and rewrite, a novel which, dealing with genocide, you know bring us into contact with the most horrific and unfathomable mysteries inherent in human nature.
